Your Goals For 2024

It’s 2024. What’s your future looking like? Is it all about a healthier you? More friendships? More travel? A new romance? Whatever it is you want in 2024, write it down. Studies show that the people who are more likely to succeed with their New Year’s resolutions are the ones who actually take the time to write out what they plan to achieve.

Do you need a little tough love? Stop messing around and deal with your life. If you don’t go out and make it happen, you’ll never meet your goals.

Goals don’t have to be daunting. You can literally sit down with a piece of paper and write “Goals for 2024” and make a list of what comes to mind. For example:

  • More Happiness/Joy
  • More time to read
  • Take that trip to Bali
  • Remove dairy for a month to see how I feel
  • Plan to get coffee with an old friend

You get the point. It’s whatever you think will better your life. If you really want to go all out and inch even closer to success, then you should add more details to your goals. Check out the Forbes article at the bottom of this post.

Below you’ll find a list of different sites and resources that might help you along the way.

www.goodreads.com  – If you want to read more, you can join the Goodreads reading challenge.

www.beachbody.com – If you like workout videos, you can get your fill here, as well as some great meal programs. It will cost you to join.

Yoga With Adriene – You can look up her videos on YouTube – she’s my favorite person to go to for Yoga workouts. She usually does a month-long challenge each new year. You can do her workouts for free.

www.noom.com – If you need an app for tracking your health, this one is great, though it does cost money.

Insight Timer – You can download this app from the Play Store for meditation, yoga, and classes on health and wellness. There is a paid version, or you can skip over adding your information and do all of the free stuff. I use this app and love it. There are a lot of great free meditations.

Low Fodmap Diet – If you struggle with food sensitivities, maybe this is the year you do an elimination diet to figure out what the food culprits are. I recommend talking to your dietitian before starting.

www.clickup.com  – This is a goal-tracking app that is supposed to be free. I have not tried it, so research before you use it.

Happy New Year, and may 2024 be better than 2023!

New Year’s Affirmations

Another New Year is upon us. Rather than throw anger and negativity at the passing year, I choose to look at the good things that have happened and to send out positive affirmations for the year I am planning to have. If you are one of the people who were hit hard this year and you are struggling to pull yourself out of the pain and sorrow, time can sometimes ease the pain, but for loss of a close loved one, I understand there will always be a certain ache inside.

If you want to bring more positivity to your life, I recommend starting with your New Year’s affirmations. You can write them down, and/or say them out loud, but whatever you choose to do, I recommend writing “or better” at the end. This particular statement leaves the door open for other greater possibilities. This is a trick that Mike Dooley tells his readers about in his novels, which brings me to my next recommendation.

If you would like to bring more positivity into your life, I recommend reading the following books, depending on your current life situation: A Beginner’s Guide to the Universe, by Mike Dooley. The Top Ten Things Dead People Want to Tell You, by Mike Dooley. Wishes Fulfilled: Mastering the Art of Manifesting, by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. The last book I listed, changed my life and my way of thinking, for the better. Louise Hay is also a huge author in the world of positive manifestation.

Create your intentions and put them out there. Stay away from the negativity of this past year. That chapter is closing and life is short. There is no time to dwell on the past, but only time for moving forward and “living your best life now,” which is another point Mike Dooley likes to stress. If you are one of the people who keeps saying, “I will do it tomorrow,” consider that the energy you are putting into the Universe, will continue to place your desires just out of reach. Believe that you already have your deepest desires and the law of attraction will pull in more of the same.

Happy New Year! Love and positivity to you all. With positive beliefs, we can breed life-long changes.
